Services Agreement

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Services Agreement is between Stasis Home, Inc. (“Stasis Home,” “we,” “us”) and the person who books a Stasis Home audit (“you”). You agree to it when you book and pay online, before we schedule a visit. It explains what we do, what it costs, your cancellation terms, and the limits of what the audit can tell you.

1. What you are buying

A Stasis Home audit is an in-home assessment of your home’s water, air, light, and humidity. It includes a visit by a Stasis Home technician, collection of samples, laboratory analysis, a written report with your Stasis Score, and recommendations. The specific tests and scope are described at booking and in your report.

2. This is an online agreement

You book and pay for the audit online or in the app, before any technician is sent to your home; the sale is completed online. You pay a deposit when you book and the remaining balance at the time of your visit, before the technician leaves. Because you agreed to the full price online when you booked, collecting the balance at the visit is simply payment on that agreement; our technicians do not sell anything new or take a new order in your home. Any product or fix we recommend is offered to you afterward through the app or website, once your lab results are back, so you can decide in your own time.

3. Deposit, cancellation, and refunds

  • A deposit of $250 (about 10% of the audit price) is due when you book, and it is non-refundable. The remaining balance is charged at the time of your visit.
  • If you cancel and rebook your audit within 30 days, we apply your deposit to the rescheduled visit and do not charge it again.
  • Once the visit takes place and we send your samples to the lab, the audit has been performed, and the full fee is non-refundable.
  • If you are genuinely unhappy with the audit, contact us. We handle concerns case by case as a matter of goodwill. This is not a money-back guarantee.

4. Lab confirmation pre-authorization

Some findings call for an extra confirmation lab test (for example, to confirm a possible mold, radon, or formaldehyde issue). When you book, you pre-authorize up to $250 for such confirmation tests if they are warranted; we itemize any we run in your report and will not exceed $250 without contacting you first. This is separate from the booking deposit in Section 3.

5. Scheduling, access, and your responsibilities

  • We will schedule your visit with you. You agree to provide safe access to the home and the areas we need to reach, and to give us accurate information about the home.
  • An adult (18 or older) must be present for the visit.
  • You are responsible for the condition and safety of your premises. If conditions are unsafe or prevent us from working, we may reschedule.

6. Installs and fixes

If you decide to act on a recommendation, there are two paths:

  • Simple, reversible items that do not alter your plumbing, electrical, gas, or structure (for example, plug-in or screw-in devices and countertop or faucet filters) we may place for you. This is not contracting work.
  • Anything that alters the home (for example, whole-house or under-sink water systems, ducted or hardwired equipment, or work requiring a permit) is performed by a licensed contractor we coordinate. That contractor works under its own contract with you, which includes the cancellation rights the law gives you for home-improvement work. We are not your contractor for that work.

Nothing in this section is sold or paid for in your home; you choose and pay for any fix through the app or website.

7. The Stasis Score and report are information, not professional advice

  • Your Stasis Score and report are for general information. They are not medical, environmental-engineering, or legal advice, and not a substitute for a professional assessment when one is needed.
  • Your report draws on public and third-party data and on samples taken at one point in time. Data can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, and conditions in a home can change.
  • We do not guarantee that the Score or report is accurate or complete for your home, and you should not rely on it for a decision that needs a professional.

8. We do not make claims about other companies

Your report describes conditions and estimates drawn from public data and from your samples. It is not a statement that your water utility, your home’s builder, any product maker, or anyone else did anything wrong, was negligent, or broke any law. Where we compare your results to a stricter health-based level than the legal limit, that reflects our own methodology and a higher standard you may choose for your home; your utility may fully meet its legal requirements. Our interpretations are our informed opinion, not statements of fact about anyone else’s conduct. We are independent and not affiliated with or speaking for any utility, builder, manufacturer, or agency.

9. Mold

We do a light-weight first pass on mold. If we find anything alarming or concerning, we refer you to actual mold experts. Consider our mold recommendations directional, not concrete. Our stance, either way, present or not, is an educated guess.

10. No warranties

Except as expressly stated here and as required by law, the audit, the Stasis Score, and the report are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the audit is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages or for damages arising from your reliance on the Stasis Score or report. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability for our gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or for bodily injury caused by our negligence. We carry general-liability and errors-and-omissions insurance.

12. Dispute resolution

Disputes arising from this Agreement are resolved under the same arbitration agreement as our Terms of Use: binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS, with a small-claims-court exception and an intellectual-property exception, after a required informal-resolution conference. You and we waive the right to a jury trial and the right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action. A batch process applies to large numbers of similar demands. You may opt out of arbitration by written notice within 30 days of first becoming subject to it, sent to legal@stasishome.com or to Stasis Home, Inc., 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713. The full terms, including the opt-out and batch provisions, are in our Terms of Use and are incorporated here by reference.

13. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute not subject to arbitration will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.

14. Other terms

  • If any part of this Agreement is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • This Agreement, together with what you agreed to at booking, is the entire agreement about the audit.
  • We may update these terms; the version you agreed to at booking governs your audit.
